Creating and maintaining a Pakistani-Pashtoon community in the Greater Edmonton Region to support and thrive local members, new immigrants, and Pashtoon culture with respect, cooperation, and fairness.
Established in September 2017, the Edmonton Pashtoon Society-EPS is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting the Pashtun community in Edmonton, Alberta by focusing on the preservation of Pashtoon culture and traditions, with an emphasis on values and heritage.
Our mission at EPS is to build a flourishing Pakistani-Pashtoon Community in the Greater Edmonton Area. We provide consistent support to local members, new immigrants and introduce Pashtoon culture, guided by principles of respect, cooperation, community service, and fairness. Our initiatives, including settlement services, cultural programs and promotions, educational as well as awareness seminars, and networking workshops, aim to seamlessly integrate the Pashtoon community into Canadian society.
Committed to members’ well-being, we offer immediate emergency assistance and have established resources including the Emergency Support Fund-ESF for immediate responses to unforeseen situations. Recognizing the importance of youth, we actively work on their development, providing guidance and facilitating integration through networking and social cohesion. As advocates for cultural richness, EPS represents Pashtoon cultural events throughout Greater Edmonton Areas, standing united in our dedication to develop a strong community, empowering members by keeping in view the quality and inclusion to preserving Pashtoon heritage.
